Gratitude Training and A Comfort Zone Challenge Update
Gratitude Training
I have been taking part in a Gratitude Training this week, and it has pushed me in ways I could not have imagined. I walked into this training with one set of expectations, and to say that they have been completely blown away is an understatement. I thought I was going to walk in to training and get a deeper dive into the practice of gratitude. I expected it to be a breeze, and I fully expected I would have a lot of down time to work on my blog post this week all about gratitude.
Instead, I basically embarked on a week long version of my Comfort Zone Challenge, and it has rocked my world. I am very grateful for this opportunity, but I am also able to recognize that I need more time to reflect on this journey before writing about it. I think you know by now that I do #LiveLifeAuthentically, and it would feel rushed and inauthentic to throw something together quickly without giving myself time for reflection. Next week, I’ll be talking about Gratitude and ways to implement it as a part of a mindful self-care practice in your life. Gratitude is an amazingly powerful self-care tool, and I look forward to beginning the discussion with some tips about how to begin using it in your daily life.
Comfort Zone Challenge
I’m a big believer that the more we push ourselves to lean into our fears, the more we grow. I talked all about the importance of this in last week’s blog all about The 5 Truths About Fear from the book Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway. And then without realizing what I was walking into, I embarked on a week long journey into challenging myself to jump out of my comfort zone daily. Has it been hard? Yes! Has it been challenging? Most definitely! Has it been worth it? 1000% yes!!!
I’m challenging you to push yourself out of your own comfort zone. The fear of doing something never feels as bad as the constant wondering what you are capable of if you only tried. What would it be like to stop living your life from a place of fear? What could you do to push yourself to jump out of your own comfort zone? Tap into your courage and bravery. You might be surprised to find out what you’re capable of if you take a chance on yourself.
